Repairs on the Charlotteville and Speyside recreational grounds will begin at the end of July.
Secretary of Sport and Youth Affairs Jomo Pitt said the projects were part of the ongoing maintenance programme for sporting facilities.
“We should have all these by the end of the financial year. Facilities should be upgraded with repairs,” Pitt said, adding that “in the next fiscal year, we will earmark some other grounds and other hard courts to be repaired.”
Pitt said the Administrative Complex at Shaw Park Recreation Ground was also undergoing renovation.
He also added that, “The Roxborough Administrative Complex, we anticipate that we could have it renamed and we could have the official commissioning at the Cyd Gray Stadium by September.” The renovations to be done include re-sheeting of the roof, painting, electrical repairs and signage.
