Healthcare stakeholders attached to the Scarborough General Hospital (SGH) and the County Medical Office of Health (CMOH) participated in a Buccal Swab training for DNA (Deoxyribonucleic Acid) Analysis at the SGH on July 29, 2019.

The mandatory training was stipulated by the Ministry of National Security, in relation to the DNA Act of 2012, regarding how to collect data and transport collected data to the Medical Sciences Centre.

Medical practitioners throughout Trinidad and Tobago are undergoing the required training.
