The Tobago House of Assembly (THA) Sports & Family Day on Friday, 6th December, 2019 brought the curtain down on a week of activities to celebrate Tobago Day (December 4th).
At the end of the day, the Division of Tourism, Culture and Transportation (DoTCT) emerged victorious, with the Division of Infrastructure, Quarries and the Environment (DIQE) coming in second, followed by the Division of Sport and Youth Affairs (DSYA) and the Division of Education, Innovation and Energy (DEIE).
The Office of the Chief Secretary of the Tobago House of Assembly extends heartiest congratulations to the winners and to all the other teams and supporters who came out in their numbers to cheer them on.
This event was preceded by the THA’s signature event – the Tobago Day Awards, a Thanksgiving Service & Opening Ceremony, Tobago Restaurant Experience, which took place throughout the week, a Debate, Triathlon and an Expo. The entire week is being hailed as a success because of the high level of support from diners, attendees and other participants. The mix of solemnity, fun, competition and festivity during the celebrations ensured that everyone was able to participate in one way or another and guaranteed that it would be a success.
Thank you to everyone who contributed to, patronized and participated in the week’s activities to make the Tobago Day celebrations the success that it was. We couldn’t have done it without you! Special thanks to members of the Tobago Day Committee for the time, effort and energy put into the planning and execution of these events. Congratulations on a job well done!
