Blood drive

The Division of Health, Wellness and Family Development has reported low levels at the Blood Bank of the Scarborough General Hospital (SGH).

The Division is appealing to persons to donate blood, as the Blood Bank is sustained by the regular, voluntary action of donors. Regular donors are also advised to encourage others to donate blood to assist in replenishing the Blood Bank supply.

One pint of blood can save up to three lives and donating blood doesn’t just benefit the recipient. There are health benefits for donors too; apart from helping others, donating blood can positively impact one’s emotional and physical health.  For more information, please call 660-4744; Ext. 3098/9.
