Celebrating Our Ingenuity

This evening (December 3rd), the Tobago Performing Arts Company (TPAC) will present to the people of Tobago and the global online community their first ever Tobago Day Cultural Showcase: ‘Realizing Our Resilience’ at the Shaw Park Complex. The event will highlight Tobago’s unique visual storytelling and diverse talent.

The Tobago Day Cultural Showcase 2021 brings together some of Tobago’s premiere creative talents, who on the 41st year of the THA, will use those talents to illuminate the journey, successes and aspirations of the people of Tobago,” said TPAC Artistic Director Rayshawn Pierre.

The showcase will include presentations by Kleon Mc Pherson, Sharon Phillip, and Youthquake, among others.

The show by design presents a diverse blend of artistes, performing across myriad disciplines, and unified by a common goal: Celebrating the ingenuity and resilience of all Tobagonians,” she said.

TPAC continues to make their productions accessible to persons beyond our island. The global pandemic “forced us to reflect on the ways in which we share with the world,” said Pierre.

Viewers can tune in and watch the live Cultural Showcase, which is part of this week’s Tobago Day celebrations on TPAC’s Facebook page and TTT from 5:00 pm this evening (December 3rd).

Join TPAC and the Tobago House of Assembly as we commemorate the anniversary of the establishment of the Assembly with this virtual cultural celebration of the determination and strength Tobago continues to display in the face of adversity.

Tobago Day culminates on December 4th with the Tobago Day Awards.
