Official Commissioning of Shirvan/Storebay Local Road Connector and the Roundabout Project

The Division of Infrastructure, Quarries and Urban Development hosted the official commissioning of the Shirvan/Storebay Local Road Connector and the Roundabout Project on August 6th. In attendance were several THA officials including THA Chief Secretary Hon. Farley Augustine,  Infrastructure Secretary Assemblyman Trevor James, area representative for Lambeau/Lowlands Assemblyman Wane Clarke, and area representative for Buccoo/Mt.Pleasant Sonny Craig.

This initiative pays tribute to three of Tobago’s distinguished figures. The roundabout is named in honour of the late James Biggart, the first elected representative of Tobago in the Legislative Council of Trinidad and Tobago, and the late Dr Jefferson Davidson, the second Chairman of the Tobago House of Assembly. Additionally, a street was named in recognition of Pamela Nicholson, Tobago’s first female parliamentarian.
