The Tobago Emergency Management Agency (TEMA) will lead an earthquake drill exercise on Thursday (October 18, 2018), called the “Great ShakeOut”, in observance of International ShakeOut Day.

The occasion is being observed by disaster response agencies worldwide. The event will enhance public awareness on what to do in the event of an earthquake.

It will also highlight the need for emergency plans and supplies to prepare for a quake, and is an ideal activity to conduct earthquake drills and reinforce safety mechanisms including “Drop, Cover and Hold On”.
