Tobago is going on the road to promote its culture with an expo in Trinidad.
The Business Development Unit (BDU) of the Division of Community Development, Enterprise Development, and Labour, is teaming up with the Division of Tourism, Culture, and Transportation on the initiative from May 23-25 at Trincity Mall.
According to Community Development Secretary Marsyln Melville-Jack, the event will feature Tobago exhibitors “in an exposition of goods, culture, and services”.
Speaking at the January 23 post Executive Council media briefing, the Secretary said the BDU will also launch a series of success stories titled “Entrepreneurs on the Rise”. These will be shared on the Division’s social media pages, as well as its in-house video magazine programme, “What’s Up”.
Melville-Jack said the series will celebrate “the journeys of a few Tobago entrepreneurs [and] their rise to success despite the many stumble and challenges that they face, and the lessons learned”.
