This week, east Tobago will host the popular Road Market Experience, which kicks off from 2 p.m. tomorrow (September 20) in Roxborough at the Cyd Gray Sporting Complex car park.
Entrepreneurs will be able showcase their culinary treats, craft work and other products, and the public is invited to come out and support Tobago businesses.
“What we’re seeing here is local entrepreneurs, based on our theme, “Made Local, Produced Local Buy Local”. The original intent of the Road Market Experience is to encourage and foster entrepreneurship on the island,”Coordinator at the Division of Community Development, Enterprise Development and Labour Michelle Burris said.
Since introduced by the Division, the Road Market Experience has been viewed as important to the business community.
“Small business in Tobago do need initiatives like these as they will cause business to thrive,”
said Jimmy Sylvester, the owner of Zibs Ice Cream. Sylvester is one of the entrepreneurs who participated in the August 20 Road Market at Store Bay.
This is the third year the Road Market, previously known at the Night Market, was hosted by the Division.
