Four Tobago entrepreneurs will attend an upcoming trade mission to Cuba.
Secretary of Community Development, Enterprise Development and Labour Marslyn Melville-Jack confirmed the business owners will be part of a Ministry of Trade contingent to Cuba. The trade mission will take place on June 19.
“They will participate in the Expo Caribe 2019. The four entrepreneurs that we selected will be showcasing our local [products],” Melville-Jack said.
The Community Development Secretary said her Division’s priorities includes driving the growth of enterprise development.
“We are ensuring that we provide the nurturing atmosphere and environment that we need here in Tobago, we are also providing grants and loans to assist them as seed capital in their developments, “she said.
The local-made products that will appear at the Expo include teas, skin and hair care cosmetics, and home furnishings such as linens and drapery.
