Y.E.S. Programme Closing Ceremony

Twas an evening of excellence, motivation and celebration as the Youth Energised for Success (Y.E.S.) Programme brought the curtains down on the 11th edition of its Summer Internship Programme on Tuesday 27th August 2024.

The Conference Hall of the Division of Community Development, Youth Development and Sport radiated sheer potential as the 147 participants of this year’s Internship were celebrated and recognized for their hard work, dedication and commitment to successfully completing the Programme.

Impactful and inspiring messages were delivered by the Divisionโ€™s Executive Team: Secretary Joel Sampson, Assistant Secretary Wane Clarke and Administrator Afeisha Melville McKain as they advised, encouraged and empowered our interns to turn their experiences into excellence as they continue to make their community and island proud.

Programme Administrator Keigon Denoon commended the interns on their vigour and Feature Speaker Javanne Williams expressed how his involvement in the Y.E.S. Programme’s Summer Internship catapulted him into the individual he is today. He urged all participants to utilise their power of choice to elevate their experiences into excellence in every area of their lives.

Intern Anson Moses also gave meaningful feedback on the ‘intern experience’ and four interns were awarded and recognised for their exemplary performance during the Programme:
