During the summer vacation, Y-Zones in Tobago hosted a number of training programmes.
And Secretary of Community Development, Enterprise Development and Labour Marslyn Melville-Jack said the Division will also lend support in terms of life skills training.
“The OSH Department will also be doing basic lifesaving skills, something that I know will come in very handy for our young people,” Melville-Jack said at Wednesday’s (September 19) post Executive Council media briefing.
“The [Business Development Unit] will introduce them to starting up a business and they will do workshops at every centre, and there would be two sessions per location,” Melville-Jack said.
In addition, the Department of Labour will provide resume and interview skills training to participants.
Melville-Jack said the Division will also provide venues for community groups who want to host programmes for community members.
