Remedial work began today (October 19) on the Scarborough RC School.
The work will be done on priority areas in Block E to address minor issues, including the installation of awnings to reduce water flow in the corridor, and the application of a surface epoxy on the existing tiles to eliminate the risk of slipping by students and staff.
This decision was made following the consultation of a floor specialist.
The Division of Education, Innovation and Energy, via media release, indicated that remedial work will be conducted by contractor Eric Lewis, who has been engaged by Education Facilities Company Limited (EFCL), the Project Management Agency responsible for the construction of the school.
