The National Secondary Schools Track and Field Championships will run for the next two days (March 11-12) at the Dwight Yorke Stadium.
The Secondary Schools Track and Field Association partnered with several stakeholders including the Port Authority of Trinidad and Tobago and the Division of Education, Innovation and Energy to make the event happen. In so doing, history was created.
“We want to thank all our partners…they all contributed in different ways to make this first-ever championships in Tobago a reality, and give the islanders of Tobago a chance to see their own (athletes) perform,” Association President Joseph Brewster said.
Athletes from more than 80 schools across the country will compete in Tobago.
