Export Booster Initiative Tobago Launch

The Division of Finance and the Economy (DFE) collaborated with the Minister Ministry of Trade and Industry on Monday (March 1) to launch the Export Booster Initiative for the Manufacturing Sector 2021.

On February 4th, Cabinet approved implementation of an Export Booster Initiative valued at TT$50 million for the manufacturing sector aimed at furthering oversees markets and promoting exports. On February 16th, the Trade Ministry, in conjunction with the Trinidad and Tobago Manufacturers’ Association and ExporTT, launched the National Export Booster Initiative, a suite of 16 programmes to enhance export promotion, capacity building and institutional strengthening within the sector.

In Tobago, focus will be placed on capacity building programmes, with an undertaking to support at least 40 Tobago-based businesses.The launch took place at the Victor E. Bruce Financial Complex.
