The Division of Food Production, Forestry and Fisheries Home Gardening Initiative will host a Crop Rotation Workshop next week (August 21, 2019).

Crop rotation involves growing different crops in the same area in sequenced seasons, so that the soil is not used for only one set of nutrients. Overall, crop rotation helps in reducing soil erosion, increases soil fertility, and crop yield.

The workshop is free and takes place at the Conference Room of the Division of Infrastructure, Quarries and the Environment, Shaw Park.

Persons can register up to August 20th by calling 639-4616 or texting 382-2939.
