The Department of Marine Resources and Fisheries (DMRF), together with the Agricultural Development Bank (ADB), will launch the Fisheries Extension Outreach Programme at the Charlotteville Fish Facility on February 12.

This initiative will allow for the Department’s services to be available to fishing communities across the island, such as registration of fishers, boats and engines, transfer of boats and engines, and application for tax exemption.

The event will take the form of a street fair and will feature booth displays by the Tobago Emergency Management Agency (TEMA), Marine Safety (Training and Consultants) Ltd. and the Caribbean Fisheries Training and Development Institute (CFTDI), as key stakeholders in the fishing industry.
