The Scarborough Market remodeling project has been completed.

Secretary of the Division of Food Production, Forestry and Fisheries Hayden Spencer indicated the Division will conduct the handing over and relocating of vendors to the upgraded site in January 2020.

“We found it best to conduct this exercise after the anticipated busy season during the Christmas period, to avoid major disruption of the vendors business,” Spencer said.

The Food Production Secretary said January is expected to be a slower month, which should facilitate a seamless transition. The remodeling project began in July 2018. Vendors were subsequently temporarily relocated to Shaw Park. The revamped market includes a main vending building, an administrative building, and an air conditioned fish market.
