Seventeen needy families received assistance on Friday (January 11) in the form of food hampers.
This support was made possible through a partnership between the Glamorgan Evergreen Foundation and the Division Health, Wellness and Family Development. Health Secretary Dr. Agatha Carrington assisted in distributing the hampers at the Division’s Wilson Road, Scarborough offices.
Representatives from the Foundation also took part in the distribution.
Carl Mc Ewen, who represented the Foundation said: “I am just happy that we can assist with helping persons in need,” and thanked Dr. Carrington for leading the New Year initiative.
The Glamorgan Evergreen Foundation is a non-governmental organisation. Its objective is to help develop the Glamorgan community, particularly in the areas of academics and social support. The Foundation has been active for the past five years.
