The THA continues to support initiatives that better protect Tobago’s children.

On Friday (December 14, 2018) the Division of Health, Wellness and Family Development supported the Children’s Authority launch of the Child Support Centre in Tobago at the Magdalena Grand Hotel.

Secretary of Health, Wellness and Family Development Dr. Agatha Carrington said the Division’s partnership with the Authority has included the Division’s Probation Hostel being licensed for operation for the first time and the establishment of the first ever Community Residence for Children in Tobago.

During the launch, Carrington thanked the Authority “for this gift to our children”.

The Authority also delivered prizes to children from Tobago who participated in their recently held art and video competition, which was held in Commemoration of Universal Children’s Day 2018 under the theme “My Rights”.
