MIT Students Learn Conflict Resolution
Coordinating Assistant at the Mediation Centre Caryll Spencer-Edwards receives a token of appreciation from a MIC student.

More than 60 students of the MIC Institute of Technology (MIT) benefitted from a training session on Conflict Resolution yesterday (February 19) at the Institute.

The session was facilitated by the Mediation Centre, which falls under the Division of Health, Wellness and Family Development.

Students learned about several issues, including how conflict is an opportunity for change and growth, viewing conflict as solvable, and having self-awareness and controlling one’s emotions to resolve conflict.

The session was part of the Centre’s public outreach aimed at sharing techniques to resolve issues in a peaceful and mutually agreeable manner.
