Tourism Hosts Tradeshow

The Division of Tourism, Culture and Transportation will be hosting a Virtual Tradeshow on Friday (November 26th).

The initiative echoes the Caribbean Tourism Organization (CTO) and its member countries celebration of Caribbean Tourism Month in November, with the chosen theme of “Caribbean Comeback”.

The theme demonstrates tourism destinations making a comeback with the various initiatives to ensure post-Covid competitiveness. It denotes a renewed sense of purpose and speaks to the resurgence of the tourism industry in terms of repositioning and repackaging our local tourism products and services,” said Programme Coordinator Sandra Orr-Toney.

The tradeshow will include 65 participants across various sectors such as Accommodation, Food and Beverage, Sports Tourism and Agro Tourism. There will also be live virtual presentations by key industry partners including entrepreneur and tourism stakeholder Dwayne Kenny, who will speak about ‘Digital Marketing of Your Tourism Business’, while representatives from the T&T Bureau of Standards will speak about ‘Quality Standards in the Tourism Industry’ and representatives from Venture Capital Ltd will address ‘Financing Tourism-Related Businesses.’

The tradeshow will provide a platform to highlight and promote Tobago’s local tourism product offerings and services, while also building further awareness on the significance of tourism.

During the event, there will be virtual break out rooms, which will be led by the individual tourism entrepreneurs and stakeholders to showcase their respective products and/or services.

The Tradeshow starts at 10:00 a.m. (November 26th) and attendees will have the opportunity to win prizes. See the flyer for more details.
