Coastal protection is being looked at for No Man’s Land as approval has been granted to extend a coastal study conducted at Pigeon Point Heritage Park.

Secretary of Infrastructure, Quarries and the Environment Kwesi Des Vignes said the study was originally published in 2013.

“However,” the Secretary added, “when our technocrats looked at it, we would have recognised that doing coastal intervention at the Pigeon Point Heritage Park is all well and good. But then what happens if we don’t protect the roadway coming into Pigeon Point?”

Des Vignes said his Division is seeking to extend the study to include the coastline at Milford Bay, as well as No Man’s Land. He said the Inter-Development Bank (IDB) is showing interest in partnering on the project.
