The Tobago Licensing Office has been officially closed from today following an assessment from the Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) Department of the Tobago House of Assembly (THA).
In the short term, the Licensing Office will be relocated to the Janis Solomon Building at Orange Hill Road in Scarborough. The office is expected to be reopened next week, and further updates will be announced via the media.
THA Chief Administrator said the THA Assembly is working to resolve the situation as soon as possible.
“I want to assure the public that the THA will do whatever is necessary to minimise any inconvenience caused by the disruption in service at the Licensing Office,” Sandy said. “Our first priority is to ensure the safety and comfort of our workers and the public visiting the Licensing Office to conduct business. We want to complete the relocation in the shortest possible time frame.”
The decision to relocate the Licensing Office was made following discussions between officials of the Assembly and the Public Services Association.
