The Division of Infrastructure, Quarries and the Environment has advised the public that programming for the coordination of traffic light systems from Signal Hill to Calder Hall is underway.

This exercise will activate real-time Vehicle to Infrastructure (V2I) communication between traffic signals. This will improve traffic flow on the highway and help reducing the time commuters are stuck in traffic.

During the week’s exercise, the system will be adjusted to ensure that the best fit for Tobago’s traffic situation is achieved. The Division said some inconvenience may be experienced during this exercise, which is expected to be completed by Saturday (September 22).
