The Division of Education, Youth Affairs and Sport will again mark the worldwide recognition of youth throughout the month of August.  Mrs Groome-Duke said that beginning Thursday, 12th August; the Division will host the Youth Convocation Service at the People’s Pentecostal Church, Smithfield, from 5:00 p.m., in celebration of International Youth Day 2010. All Tobago Youth are invited to this service.

The celebrations of Youth Month 2010 continue with the Division hosting a youth festival, at the Signal Hill Secondary Comprehensive School, on Sunday, 29th August.

Mrs Groome-Duke, however, announced that the annual Youth Award will take place on Thursday, 16th September.

Information on other aspects of Youth Month celebrations, including a youth rally and environmental awareness day in East Tobago, will be announced at a later date.
