Tobago will celebrate World Breastfeeding Week 2018 through its annual breastfeeding walk this weekend.

Hosted by the Breastfeeding Association of Trinidad and Tobago, the Walk and Breakfast will take place on Saturday from 7 a.m.

Participants will walk from Market Square in Scarborough to the Esplanade. Breakfast will be served at the event, which is aimed at achieving four main objectives: to inform the public about the benefits of breastfeeding; to anchor breastfeeding as a core foundation for life; to spread awareness on the importance of breastfeeding; and to advance breastfeeding as part of good nutrition, food security and poverty reduction.

Registration for the walk costs $35, and the first 200 participants will also receive free T-shirts.
