Phase I of renovations on the Dwight Yorke Stadium resumes next week.
Contractors are being mobilised to begin work on the stadium’s infrastructure from next Monday (August 6).
This phase should be completed by the end of September. Renovations include structural restoration, roof installation and electrical repairs.
The procurement process is underway for Phase II. This segment will include plumbing, air conditioning and drainage work around the Mondo Track. The aim is to have Phase II completed at the end of this year.
The renovations are being managed by state agency Urban Development Corporation of Trinidad and Tobago (UDeCOTT).
