The Studley Park Enterprises Ltd. has been granted a license to export the aggregate of the Studley Park Quarry.

This new development was announced by Chief Secretary Hon. Kelvin Charles at yesterday’s (Wednesday 30th October) Post-Budget Retreat at Mt. Irvine Bay Hotel.

Mr. Charles noted that for the first time the Quarry will be able to generate foreign exchange and this has been accomplished within three years of its restructuring.

Citing this as a huge development for Tobago, Mr. Charles explained that the Export TT License will allow for the export of four categories of aggregate to Guyana for an initial period of three (3) months. The estimated projected revenue for the three (3) month period, if all four categories are exported, is USD$340,000.

The Chief Secretary has pledged his commitment to make representation to the Minister of Trade and Industry, Minister Paula Gopee-Scoon, for an extension of the Exportt TT license beyond three (3) months.
