Goodwood Secondary School has qualified to the finals of the National Schools’ Junior Panorama 2018 competition.
Two schools, Speyside High School and Goodwood Secondary School were the sole Tobago contenders, in the National Schools Junior Panorama semi-finals competition. Four judges of the National Adjudication Panel visited the two schools for judging on Thursday, 25th January 2018.
Goodwood’s Live Wire Band led by captain, Shianty Nancis brought vivacious sound with an old time favourite “The Melody Sweet” composed by Mr Leston Paul and arranged by Mr Tony “Pan Jumbie” Williams.
In 2017 Goodwood placed 9th in the National Competition.
Speyside High School long time competitors in the steel pan competition, were led by Mr Savion Murray. Speyside HS Steel Sensation performed “Full of Vibe” composed by Voice & Marge Blackman, with former student and band captain, Mr Joshua Jerry as the Arranger.
Goodwood will battle eight schools in the Secondary category on February 4th, 2018. The draw for positions will be held on Wednesday 31st January, 2018.
