Tobagonians will have one last chance to contribute their views on the draft bill for Tobago’s autonomy.
The final public convention was held yesterday (October 2) at Lowlands Multipurpose Facility. But submissions can still be made in writing to the Secretariat on Tobago’s Autonomy at the Unit Trust Corporation Building in Scarborough.
The Secretariat’s Chairman, Dr. Levis Guy-Obiakor, advised Tobagonians to make use of this final opportunity.
“This is the last chance for persons who have a contribution to make their submissions,” Dr. Guy-Obiakor said. “Every opinion matters, and so we want to ensure that even those who did not get to be a part of Sunday’s convention can still comment on the draft bill.”
The deadline for submissions is Friday (October 7), after which the draft bill will be prepared for discussion by the Assembly Legislature. It will then be forwarded to Cabinet before the end of October.
