A two-man team from the Mexico office of Moody’s Investments Limited was in Tobago last week for extensive discussions with the Tobago House of Assembly to determine a financial rating for the island.
Finance and Enterprise Development Secretary Dr Anselm London said in an interview that the discussions were very extensive and he was hopeful for a positive response. He said the Moody’s representatives told him that Tobago was the first sub sovereign territory to seek such a rating.
Dr London said the rating which he hoped to receive soon would help to improve the Assembly’s performance.
