The Department of Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) wants to see OSH practices in construction projects across the Tobago House of Assembly (THA) consistently implemented.

Representatives from the department recently held a training workshop targeted at Procurement and Projects Departments across the Assembly.

Advantages of integrating OSH practices on construction projects, for example, include the reduction of accidents on sites, the prevention of legal costs associated with accidents and incidents on sites and a reduction in cost overruns.

The training was the first in a series of workshops OSH has in the pipeline.
