PAHO Visits Scarborough General

The Tobago Regional Health Authority recently hosted a team from PAHO, a collaboration with Dr. Erica Wheeler, PAHO-WHO Representative for the Region.

They conducted training sessions on the use of SIP Plus, a software programme that will replace antenatal medical forms in the Maternity Department of the Scarborough General Hospital.

SIP is a perinatal information recording system that captures data about the care of women during pregnancy and labour. It also allows analysis of that data to determine the quality of care being provided to patients.

Following the training, the visiting team toured the maternity ward, led by acting TRHA Medical Chief of Staff Dr. Victor Wheeler, to view the facilities and further demonstrate use of the software.
