PUBLIC NOTICE – Traffic Restrictions for Wreath Laying Ceremony Wednesday, 27th July, 2022

The Office of the Chief Secretary wishes to advise the general public of the following measures to be put in place on Wednesday, 27th July, 2022 at James Park, Scarborough, for the observance of the attempted coup of July 27th, 1990:

The following roads in Scarborough will be closed to vehicular traffic:

(a) Jerningham Street

(b) Ross Street

(c) Piggott Street, from the junction of Burnette Street to Bacolet Connector Road

(d) Burnette Street

Parking is prohibited along the following streets:

(a) Jerningham Street

(b) Ross Street

(c) Piggott Street, from the junction of Burnette Street to Bacolet Connector Road

(d) Bacolet Connector Road, from the junction of Piggott Street to the junction of Main and Bacolet Streets

(e) Main Street from the junction of Main and Bacolet Streets to the junction of Main and Burnette Streets

(f)  Burnette Street

(g) Old Market Car Park and Piggott Street

Parking Permitted 

  • Parking for the public is permitted at the Republic Bank Car Park, Burnette Street.

Parking prohibited at the following location:

  • Tambrin Square

The Tambrin Square Car Park will be cordoned off and closed to the general public on Wednesday, 27th July from 6:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon.
