The organisers of the Chief Secretary’s Charity Golf Tournament have been assured of the continued support of the Tobago House of Assembly (THA).

The St Andrew’s Heritage Trust received $39,000 from the Chief Secretary’s Charity Golf Tournament on Friday to assist in the restoration of the Scott’s Kirk Building on Bacolet Street, Scarborough.

The presentation was made by Chief Secretary Mr. Orville London and Jeffrey Azar, chairman of JNR Investments which organised the tournament for the fourth consecutive year. The tournament was held from October 29 to 32 at the Plantation Golf Course, Lowlands.

Speaking at the presentation Mr. London noted that as stressful as his job was there were some good days and this was one of them. He commended the JNR Group and Azar and his team for the gesture which afforded the St Andrew’s Heritage Trust the sum of $39,000 to assist them in the restoration of historical sites.
