Young Tobagonians will start their work experience via the World of Work (WOW) Programme from Monday (July 23).
The annual programme targets secondary school students ages 16 to 18. It’s an initiative of the Division of Sport and Youth Affairs.
Youth Affairs Secretary Jomo Pitt said the programme will be run over a three-week period.
“The programme includes four days of training, one day of mock interview and 15 days of practical work experience within the both public and private sectors,” Pitt said during Wednesday’s (July 11) post Executive Council media briefing.
The initiative provides the students with a taste of real-world work experience before completing secondary school.
