This morning, the Young Men’s Christian Association (YMCA) officially launched its Tobago swimming camp at the YMCA site in Courland. The camp which saw scores of young people will run from August 3rd to 20th, with the aim of teaching participants various swimming techniques. Over 100 children gathered at the 25meter YMCA poolside to be incorporated into the first ever YMCA Tobago swimming camp. Heartened by the initiative, Secretary of Youth Affairs and Sport, Assemblyman Claudia Groome- Duke outlined that we can succeed in whatever we strive for, as long as we work together. Before officially opening the camp, Chief Secretary Orville London said that he was pleased with the progress made thus far at the facility.
