As the body responsible for the strategic oversight of the Comprehensive Economic Development Plan (CEDP) 2.0, the CEDP Secretariat of the Tobago House of Assembly celebrated Earth Day on 22nd April 2015, by challenging members of staff to a “No Print Day”.
CEDP 2.0 focuses on the sustainable development of Tobago and Earth Day will be observed in keeping with two of the Strategic Priority Areas (SPAs), Environmental Sustainability and Branding Tobago: Clean, Green, Safe and Serene. Discussions amongst staff were held and they were invited to become more environmentally sensitive and conscientious of what it means to move forward with “Clean, Green, Safe and Serene”, as the Secretariat is the driving force behind CEDP 2.0.
“Big Impacts Begin With Small Steps” was the theme on the day and the CEDP Secretariat staff refrained from utilizing paper within the Office to print or photocopy. This is a part of an implementation process, which will see the Secretariat enforce a No Print Day at its Office on the last day of every month and a Green Office Week in July.
