Honourable Ancil Dennis Takes Oath Of Office At President’s House

The Office of the Chief Secretary, Tobago House of Assembly (THA) welcomes newly installed Chief Secretary of the THA, the Honourable Ancil Dennis.

Chief Secretary Dennis was administered the Oath of Ofice by Her Excellency President Paula-Mae Weekes today (May12), in a ceremony at President’s House, Saint Ann’s, Port-of-Spain, Trinidad.

Chief Administrator of the THA, Bernadette Solomon-Koroma says, “It is a pleasure to welcome Mr. Dennis to the Office of the Chief Secretary (OCS).  I look forward to working with him and expect that he will bring his own unique style, infused with youth and passion to the operations of OCS.  I wish him all the best in his tenure.”

Mr. Dennis is the fourth (4th) Chief Secretary of the Tobago House of Assembly and the youngest to be sworn in at the age of thirty-three (33).

Chief Secretary Dennis says, “I am extremely humbled as well as heartened to be given this opportunity to serve the people of Tobago.  I know that it is a herculean task but I believe that I have been prepared for such a time as this.  I am not daunted and I am confident that with the support of my colleagues and the people of Tobago, we will continue to move Tobago in the direction we want it to go.” Mr. Dennis also thanks former Chief Secretary Assemblyman Kelvin Charles for his contributions to the island of Tobago.
