The Late Hochoy Charles to be Laid to Rest on Thursday 04 January, 2024
THA Chief Secretary Hon. Farley Augustine signs the condolence book for the late Hochoy Charles at the Assembly Legislature building, Jermingham Street.

As we mourn the passing of Tobago’s first Chief Secretary Mr. Hochoy Charles as a nation, the Tobago House of Assembly (THA) will suspend work on Thursday (January 4th) to facilitate the attendance of its employees at the funeral service. Schools on the island will also be closed and representatives from the schools are expected to attend the service in school uniform.

The funeral service for the late Mr. Hochoy Charles will be held at the Shaw Park Complex on January 4th at 11am. The public viewing will be held from 9am.

There will be a live broadcast of the funeral service on the Office of the Chief Secretary’s Facebook page, inclusive of a procession by members of the protective services, preceding the funeral.

Members of the public can sign the condolence book at the Assembly Legislature Building, Jerningham Street starting today (January 3rd).
