Overview
This application seeks to provide safe and affordable housing solutions primarily to lower- and middle-income groups through the construction of subsidized housing units, the provision of serviced lots and Home Improvement Programmes.
Eligibility
- The applicant must be able to secure Financing.
- The applicant must have no current real estate interest.
- Applicants must be over the age of 18.
- Applicants must prove that he or she has been residing in Tobago for a minimum of five (5) years prior to the application date.
Required Documents
- Proof of Citizenship
- Proof of residency in Tobago
- Copy of Identification Card (front and back) along with DP or Passport
- Copy of Birth Certificate for all occupants
- Job Letter
- Proof of Income Tax File Number
- Business Registration Certificate, accompanied by Statutory Declaration of self-employment
- Application form must be stamped and signed by a Commissioner of Affidavits or Justice of the Peace
- Financial Assessment from any financial institution (Documents needed for assessment are Payslip & Identification Card)
Application Process
- Upon completion of the housing application form, the applicant’s information will be entered into the system.
- Next the applicant will be issued a receipt in the form of a letter which states the selection choices and a reference number.
- This reference number can be used to follow up on the status of the application and update if necessary.
