A Tobago delegation led by Chief Secretary Kelvin Charles is attending the Internationale Tourismusbörse (ITB) Travel Trade Show in Berlin Germany until March 11th.
The delegation also includes Secretary of Tourism, Culture and Transportation Nadine Stewart-Phillips, Louis Lewis, the CEO of the Tobago Tourism Agency Ltd, and other representatives from the Division of Tourism and the Tobago Tourism Agency Ltd.
The ITB Conference is one of world’s leading travel tourism shows. It provides an opportunity to promote Tobago’s tourism to major European markets, including Germany, Austria and Switzerland. These three markets represent more than fifteen percent of Tobago’s international passenger arrivals.
The Tobago team of delegates will also launch the new Tobago brand, Tobago Beyond Ordinary, at the ITB event.
This initiative is aimed at increasing the island’s market share in the European market. In the absence of Chief Secretary Kelvin Charles, Deputy Chief Secretary Joel Jack will be attending to matters on the Chief Secretary’s behalf.
