Tourism stakeholders with a story to tell have an opportunity to be featured in an ongoing series aimed at highlighting the work of practitioners within the industry.

Each month the Division of Tourism, Culture and Transportation highlights the entrepreneurial endeavours of Tobagonians contributing to the sector.

The stories showcase how locals add value to Tobago’s economy utilizing skill sets that improve the experience of visitors to the island.

The latest ‘My Tourism Story’ features certified massage therapist, Shivon Mejias, who began her career working at a guest house and now owns Soothing Touch Massage Therapy Services.

“A massage is an intangible experience.  Depending on the service you give to a client, that experience can be so profound that they will remember it for a lifetime and, when they go back to their country, they will see that as the personality of the people. I am giving them a complete experience that is holistic, that’s healing, and will remind them of what Tobago represents,” she said.
