Tourism TV Show To Kick Off Awareness Campaign

Community Tourism Awareness Campaign activities will kick off soon with a tourism education TV series.

It is the first of a slate of events to boost the awareness and participation of communities in the industry and is expected to begin within the next two weeks.

Secretary of Tourism, Culture and Transportation Nadine Stewart-Phillips said activities will also include an awareness caravan and community sensitisation meetings.

“There would also be a community tourism project contest,” Stewart-Phillips said, “where communities will have an opportunity to develop a sustainable tourism project using their community’s resources or assets.”

There will also be a re-launch of the “Know Your Tobago” booklet, which will provide information on tourism products and the island’s cultural history.
