TTAL represents Tobago at Caribbean Travel Marketplace
TTAL CEO Louis Lewis is interviewed by the World Travel Group, the global leader in travel and tourism behind the World Travel Awards, at CTM 2020.

The Tobago Tourism Agency Limited attended Caribbean Travel Marketplace (CTM) in the Bahamas from January 21 to 23, 2020, to engage with potential trade stakeholders from the Caribbean, North America and beyond in continued efforts to stimulate growth of Tobago’s tourism industry.

Hosted by the Caribbean Hotel and Tourism Association (CHTA) at Baha Mar, Bahamas, CTM is the premier marketing event of the Caribbean hospitality industry. It is the only event in the region that gathers the Caribbean tourism industry under one roof with the opportunity to showcase the region’s traditional tourism offerings, as well as new and improved product.

Beyond networking, this event is also the industry’s key forum for attracting new decision-makers who otherwise would not be familiar with the region – thus opening new markets to the Caribbean, both from different geographic areas around the world as well as with new niche markets.

TTAL CEO Mr. Louis Lewis and Marketing Coordinator Ms. Sheena Des Vignes attended the travel trade event on behalf of destination Tobago. With more than 100 international buyers based primarily in the North American market in attendance, they used the opportunity to identify and explore new opportunities with key travel planners, undiscovered travel trade media, and tour operators that can stimulate additional passenger arrivals and generate economic activity for Tobago’s stakeholders from North America.

During the packed two-day event, Tobago’s representatives also attended key meetings geared towards encouraging deeper alliances, exploring new opportunities, and updating trade partners of the re-development and repositioning of Tobago as a premier island destination in the Caribbean.
